Buenos Aires, February 12 (NA) – The competitive truck market is preparing for 2026 with new launches and a battle among brands to get closer to the podium. According to the Argentine News Agency, in January of this year, the top three spots were occupied by Mercedes Benz, Iveco, and Scania, according to data released by ACARA. They were followed by Volvo and Volkswagen. Some companies, such as Scania, have made significant progress in trucks, buses, engines, used vehicles, and services, strengthening their positioning in the Argentine market. As a positive sign for the government, the results reflect a sustained recovery in activity. The main companies in the market agree on the positive impact of a strategy focused on efficient, reliable, and adapted solutions for the needs of transport and industry. In the 0 km truck segment, Scania reached a volume of 3,131 units, representing a 250% growth compared to the previous year. Within this performance, the brand achieved a 28% share in the over 300 HP truck segment, consolidating itself as one of the market leaders in high-power vehicles. The bus business also showed very positive growth, with 461 units sold, a 121% increase from 2024, while the engine segment recorded a 14% growth, reaching 160 units. Companies are also targeting credit, a point demanded by all players in the heavy commercial vehicle chain. In this context, Scania Credit Argentina closed 2025 with a record performance, achieving an average penetration of around 35%, with levels of 31% in 0 km trucks and buses, and almost 50% in used vehicles.
